What is Our Place Our Plan (OPOP)?

Our Place Our Plan (OPOP)  is about bringing together local people, volunteers, groups, organisations and workers, to help make positive changes to the communities in which they live and work.

We do this through Neighbourhood Planning, which is a long-term commitment to help improve the local area and quality of life for residents.

Community Links currently supports two local OPOP areas:

• Hillhouse, Udston and Burnbank
• Strutherhill and Birkenshaw

 For each area, there is a specific neighbourhood Plan where ten priorities have been identified by local people to help tackle inequalities over a 10-year period. By coming together to discuss solutions and ideas, we work collaboratively to develop future possibilities and activities related to these local areas.

There are many different ways in which you can get involved with OPOP. If you live and work in any of the areas mentioned above, would like to find out more and have a say on decisions that affect your local area, then please contact our Development Team.
