Positive Pathways for Mental Health and Wellbeing

Hamilton Health and Social Care Forum (HHSCF) launched its update booklet, identifying localised “Positive Pathways for Mental Health and Wellbeing” in June 2025.

The booklet, originally launched in May 2021, aims to provide early access to essential support to prevent mental health decline and avoid crisis intervention. Since its launch, the booklet has helped individuals access the right services to support their mental health and wellbeing by identifying key pathways within the Hamilton locality.

Recognising the ongoing priority of mental health in June 2025, HHSCF and its partners have updated the booklet. The revised edition retains its original format and includes new resources and services.

Designed and published by the HHSCF, the document has been co-produced with community members and local organisations (voluntary & statutory) operating in and around the Hamilton Locality area of South Lanarkshire which includes Hamilton, Blantyre and Larkhall.

The document is intended to assist individuals and organisations by identifying various service pathways that could help with issues that, if not addressed, could negatively affect an individual’s Mental Health and Wellbeing.

It is hoped that both communities and partners find use for this document and that it helps many people to understand the breadth of local organisations that can help across various themes and issues. The release of this Pathway contributes to the aims of the HHSCF which are to continue to work locally to strengthen communities within the Hamilton locality, positively promote local organisations, involve people, and encourage them to have a voice in health and social care matters whilst promoting and protecting valuable NHS services.
